I have this setup on my own server which works ok, but exactly the same copy of Joomla on CloudAccess.net is not indexing pdf files, giving the error 'Empty Body'
The only warning in the report is ID3 missing I have tried switching between 32/64 bit All pdftotext binaries have 755 permissions Encoding is empty Tried setting a large memory limit PHP Built On Linux lamp8.cloudaccess.net 2.6.18-374.12.1.el5.lve0.8.54 #1 SMP Wed Jan 4 18:40:17 EET 2012 x86_64 Database Version 5.5.25-cll Database Collation utf8_general_ci PHP Version 5.3.13 Web Server Apache/2.2.3 (CloudLinux) WebServer to PHP Interface cgi-fcgi Joomla! CloudAccess was kind enough to look into it and changed the code of LuceneServerCheck.php and working ok now.
They said the checks for file permissions the path to pdftotext gets overwritten with wrong value ... |

Latest version JiFile 1.0.7
Permissions were all correct. Changed the PHP function to always return true on the file permission check for it to work. |

I had the same error but it disappeared when I checked 64 bit in Configuration.
But I'm still getting a few of them. I did OCR for the attached pdf but it will not index.

One other odd thing is happening. A pdf file was not indexing. So I applied OCR and it was recognised but the search engine was not picking up a test word. So I pressed the Refresh link and the pdf would not load into the indexer. Just sits there with an empty progress bar.
UPDATE: It just took a heck of a long time but has now indexed the file |
