Hi!
Just come across JiFile while looking for app that can help me manage huge library of pdfs.
I know for sure that there are duplicates (different names but same exactly file). Read somewhere that module can actually find duplicates by content, that's great.
Using DC++ client in the past, I love it's ability to quickly find same files by calculating their checksum.

So my questions are:
1. Does JiFile uses smth similar? (Yes,I know, that type of indexing eats lot of CPU).
2. are their any plans to integrate/develop functionality similar to modules, that are devoted to manage books library? (fetching data from amazon byISDN, creating collections, tags, etc?). Looks like an idea with huge potential for me.

Thanks!

Hi,
JiFile create the checksum on the contents of the document, for example on PDF documents, JiIFile read the content and create the checksum on the content (different names but same exactly file) to verify if this checksum exists in the index. If not exists (the PDF is different from other indexed documents), JiFile index the content and create a key of the document with this checksum.

For the second question, Yes, we think to create a manage book library, but we not have many time for all ours ideas and project, because this is a hobby (for now) and not a job.
