First of all, let me say that I really like this product. However, I'm having some issues that are almost show-stoppers (a term we use in the US which means that we may not be able to use the product, or the deal is off the table, etc).
(1) Duplicate results: We're getting duplicate results, which I believe is because the Joomla search engine is returning the result of the document posted as a link in the module and JiFile is pulling the result of the document stored in the JiFile directory. It's confusing to the user. (2) Is there a way to override the JiFile breadcrumb to show the actual category the document is linked to? In this case, we're using a commercial product called DocMan, and as I mentioned in the duplicate issue, JiFile is returning the stored document in the DocMan category, which is linked to a menu/module. Ideally, what would be really super friendly is to have the path or breadcrumb show the category this document is in. It is meaningless to show that it is in a JiFile folder or subfolder. That doesn't help someone on the front end see where or what category the document is associated with. (3) This site has hundreds and eventually thousands of documents stored in it. Is there a way to filter the non-indexed documents so they can be manually or indexed through the indexer without having to page through each group of documents? Right now we have about 20 paginations. Ugh. Even if your sorter in the index column worked, that would be helpful. Hopefully you can help me resolve these issues. Thank you, Lena |

Hi Lena,
I hope to respond to your questions: 1. All components that use the "Search" of Joomla, implement an Plugin that not interacts with other plugin. Any component return their results and if two component displays the same results this are duplicate. You need customize one of the two plugin to manage this problem. 2. I think that unique solution is create a customization of JiFIle to work with DocMan. 3. This is a good feature, we hope to integrate this in next release.
