TOPIC: No results in front end search - back end ok

No results in front end search - back end ok 17 Oct 2012 18:37 #706

Thanks for developing this extension. It is well needed!
I installed it with no problems and it has indexed my files ok. When I search in the backend (admin area) for a keyword I get results as expected. This tells me the indexing worked ok.
When I search from the front end, however, I get no results.
I have enabled the plugin and I know that is working as the advanced search option allows me to select the 'Area name' that I set in the the plugin, which tells me the JiFile plugin is indeed talking to the search component.
Not sure how to trouble shoot this. Any help would be appreciated.
I am running J2.5.7 on a linux 64bit OS.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Alex

Hi,
JiFile Plugin Search, not works with "Smarth Search" of Joomla! enabled.

See if you have enabled "Smarth Search".

Thanks very much for your fast response. I did have smart search enabled and have now disabled it. I still have the same problem, however.
Out of interest - are you planing to make JiFile work with smart search? It seems that is the future.

Send the screen of the configuration (config section), the detail of an indexed file and the screen of the search page frontend.

For the smart search are looking for a solution to integrate JiFile but not easy.

Here are the screenshots you asked for.
I do appreciate your effort.

P.S. Did you ever take a look at this page relating to the smart search function?
