Thank you for the response - I myself discovered that some files are image files and therefore will not be indexed.

Hi,
let´s continue this thread. - I also cann´t index the pdf file. Now ... the env here Ubuntu 1204, 64bit server, J259, latest jifile - I installed Ubuntu´s native pdftotext, placed it to the approp. place and checked it ... it´s working (ie. pdftotext aaa.pdf ... created aaa.txt in the same dir) - now, when I try to index the file aaa.pdf via user interface manually ... I get "Empty body" error Any idea where to look next? Tks for your time, Tony |

Hi, finally got around to this problem again. I have read the link but it does not help I have run the pdf2txt from the terminal and it works. I have uploaded the system pdftotxt file into the binaries directory as requested but still no joy. Is it possible to discover the coding of a pdf easily ? I will attach the file I am using in case you can do this. It would then be helpful if you advise me on the configuration please.

Hi isApp Team,
congratulations on the very simple and useful tool! Unfortunately I have the same problem. I know it must be the server as it worked fine on my local test server and also on another client's server, but could you help me with some details? My test file is ISO-8859-1 and this is also defined in the configuration as encoding. Joomla: 2.5.11 JiFile: 1.0.9 Server - see image attached: This image is hidden for guests. Please log in or register to see it. Thanks a lot, Terry |
