The JiFile module is working very well for me now.

I have a few other questions that would make it perfect.

1. Is it possible for the search to also include the file name, as well as the file body text ? I have some files where the search term is in the title (although not in the file body text), but the search engine does not find them. It would be great if the standard search also used the filename in searching.

2. Will it be possible to use some of the wildcard functionality of Lucene in the future (e.g. test* ) ? This would be amazing.

Thanks for all the work.

This is one of the best extensions for Joomla. Truely Enterprise level.

Yes, you can configured, in the JiFile "Configuration", the field "name" how "Text", and the JiFile, indexing this for search.

We started to develop the new version "JiFile 2.0" with a big quantity of new feature.
This might be a feature that we may supplement.

I tried that and it works, but I think I have to re-index all the files ? Is that correct ?

Very much looking forward to JiFile 2.0 . :) The use of wild cards, or the same search options as joomla ("All words", "Any words" - part words, and "exact phrase") would be just perfect.

Hi,
I'm sorry, but you must re-index all file, because the new files are searchable in the name of file, in the old file indexed, no.
Delete "all index" and re-index all.
