Hi all,

I have a linux centos 6.4 (32 bit) installation of joomla 2.5 (jifile is latest version, 1.0.9)

I have mapped a remote windows folder via CIFS. I'd like to be able to index those file's content.

this is how I mount the share:

mount -t cifs //<ipaddress>/<sharename> -o username=<winuser>,password="<winpassword>",uid=root,gid=root /var/www/html/<sitename>/ifile/<sharename>

At OS level I can access the directory and I can read and write correctly.

But when I access Jifile admin console, when I navigate to the folder containing the mapped share, I cannot use it. I see it listed as a plain filename (no folder icon) and the shown mime type is "none".

If I cick in the share name, in the attempt to navigate into the folder, an error message pops up:

"FILE NOT FOUND" ("FILE NON TROVATO" in Italian, my regional setting is Italian).

What am I doing wrong?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Did you actually manage to index Files on a remote windows server? I would be very interested in how this would work, my Joomla is on a Linux (LAMP) machine, and I have tons of files in our Windows network. Right now I am just copying them onto the Linux machine, but directly accessing them on the Windows drive would be even better!
