Hi all,
I have a problem with JiFile 1.0.6 running on Joomla 2.5 on Windows XP running as a localhost. I have successfully installed the plugin in Joomla and setup a docs directory to save files into. I have manually created indexes on several files in the directory without problem. I have then added a standard 'search' module into Joomla but am not able to search for any of the documents.... I am sure i am simply missing a step somewhere along the way, can anyone point me in the right direction? I have noticed that when going into the index option and clicking the + to view the details of the index that in the body section I get the error: 'Error recovery document: The type of file extention is not allowed' Any advice appreciated Simon |

What kind of files you have indexed?
You can attach your file to try? You have enabled the search plugin JiFile? |

Hi Antonio,
The files I am using are all word documents. For testing i have created a new word document with just the word 'elephant' in it and even saved it as elephant.doc. I have then gone to filesystem and indexed and saved the index. Tried searching but nothing found. I have gone to extention manager and 'Search - JiFile' is showing as enabled. I have noticed that on the index page that after every file it says (File not found). Thanks for any assistance Simon |

Hi Antonio,
I have managed to solve my problem and have the search system working correctly now. I changed the option in fields for filename from 'Unindexed' to 'Text' and started working straight away, for some reason with that off it would not allow any kind of search at all. Thanks Simon |
