Indexing doesnt work.. how to fix it? 01 Oct 2014 14:17 #1899

Hi,
Jifile is just what I need - but it just wont index my pdf files, no matter what I seem to do. It says "XPDF not executable". I realize that there are threads dealing with this already, something about changing permissions somewhere to 755 apparantly - but I just cant figure out where or how to do this in practice!
I realize I'm probably being a noob here: but could you provide some practical guidance to how precisely to fix this issue to get this to index the pdfs in my "ifile/" folder on my site?
(Its Joomla 3.3.4)
Thanks a bunch!
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
they are usually problems with the provider or server.
If you open a ticket and provide us the data to access, we can check without any problems.

Hello,
Jeff you must change the file permission (file managers of cPanel or by FTP) by going to: / site name / administrator / components / com_jifile / libraries / ifile / adapt / helpers / binaries / and then it depends on the type of server (Linux, Windows, OS)
