How to index automaticaly a file in the frontend? 27 Nov 2013 11:09 #1566

My company want to index some files uploaded by the users in the front end.
I think I can use JiFile to index file automaticaly at upload but I don't know how to do!

Do I have to use JiFile or directly iFile?

Thanks for reading.

Hi,
JiFile not have a process automatically for indexing the document uploaded to other component by the user in front-end.

For more information you need to use our Ticket System, which you can reach at this address:

www.isapp.it/support-ticket.html

Click on the button "Open a New Ticket".

Thanks

Hi,
we read you request in
www.isapp.it/en/forum/discussioni-genera...automatica.html#1568

We understand now your question.
We have created an "Cron" process for JiFile, but this not works for any upload (one to one) but you can create a "Cron" in your S.O. that invoke this for read and reindex all document in the folder that you have configured in JiFile as path of the documents.

You can download this from:
www.isapp.it/en/download-jifile/jifile-cron.html

and read this topic:
www.isapp.it/en/forum-en/7-component/75-cron-.html#124
for configuration and use.

We hope to have found the solution at your problem.
For problem or another information you can contact isApp.it Support.

Thanks

Thanks for your answer.
Is it possible to use iFile alone for the indexation and the JiFile module for the frontend search?

Hi,
the "Cron" uses IFile for indexing, but need the JiFile configuration for define path root, index root, encoding and other for, after, use this index in JiFile.

But, you can rewrite all code present in the "Cron" to your "Use Case".
