Thanks
Yes that works now I have changed the encoding setting to UTF-8, I left it as default as it says '(Recommended: leave blank)' I thought the change in "libraries / ifile / adapter / helpers / binaries / xpdfrc /" would be enough. I tried the following settings on my 'ASCII' PDF 1) textEncoding ISO 646 <-- xpdfrc 2) ASCII <-- config > encoding In the Body I got this error; Warning: htmlentities() [function.htmlentities]: charset `ASCII' not supported, assuming iso-8859-1 in /var/www/www.mywebsite.co.uk/public_html/administrator/components/com_jifile/views/filedetail/tmpl/default_filecontent.php on line 15 My pdf's also contain 'encoding: Identity-H' so I think this may be where the main problem is. For now I have used pdftotext and iconv to create txt versions of my pdfs, I then wrote a plugin to redirect the txt files to the pdf version. |
