Hi,
sorry, but for now, JiFile, does not allow of get content UTF-8 from "Word" or "Excel" documents, and index them in UTF-8 encoding.
JiFile reads this documents in ISO-8859-15 and this produces an incorrect indexing the content if this is in UTF-8 encoding.

If you want read a document in UTF-8 and index this, you can use PDF documents and IFile 1.1.4. JiFile use IFile 1.1.3 in last version, then you must upgrade library of IFile on your server.

How to:

  1. Save your configuration of JiFile -> copy "yourjoomla15/libraries/ifile/config/IFileConfig.xml" file, and paste this in another folder in your PC.


  2. Delete Folder "ifile" -> "yourjoomla15/libraries/ifile"


  3. Download IFile 1.1.4 from this link: [url=http://]http://www.isapp.it/en/download-ifile/ifile-version-1.1.4.html[/url]


  4. Unzip package "IFile_Full_Package-1.1.4.zip" and extract "ifile" folder.


  5. Copying "ifile" folder in "yourjoomla15/libraries/"


  6. Paste JiFile configuration IFileConfig.xml (see step 1.) in folder "yourjoomla15/libraries/ifile/config/"


  7. Configure xpdfrc. Open file: "yourjoomla15/libraries/ifile/adapter/helpers/xpdfrc/xpdfrc" and uncomment (delete "#" char) from row 7
    #------ UTF-8 Encoding
textEncoding UTF-8
#------ UTF-8 Encoding

    Save file.
    Attention, the file must not have extensions.


  8. Enter in administration's panel of joomla and configures "Encoding" field of JiFile in UTF-8 (see image).

    This image is hidden for guests. Please log in or register to see it.



  9. Check permission for XPDF in control panel of JiFile. If you have change permission of XPDF, when have installing JiFile, you must re-change permission of XPDF.

Now you can indexing PDF in UTF-8 Encoding.
Attention, if your PDF is not in UTF-8 encodind the indexing not work.

Ciao,
ci dispiace, ma per ora JiFile, non consente di ottenere contenuti UTF-8 da documenti "Word" o "Excel" , e indicizzare questi nel corretto encoding UTF-8.
JiFile legge questi documenti in ISO-8859-15 e questo produce una indicizzazione errata per il contenuto, se questo è in codifica UTF-8 presentando caratteri sporchi o in alcuni casi presentando un messaggio di errore.

Se volete leggere un documento in UTF-8 e indicizzarlo, è possibile utilizzare documenti PDF e iFile 1.1.4. JiFile utilizzare iFile 1.1.3 nella versione precedente, quindi è necessario aggiornare la libreria di IFile sul vostro server.

Procedura:

  1. Salva la configurazione di JiFile -> copia il file "yourjoomla15/libraries/ifile/config/IFileConfig.xml", e incollalo in un'altra cartella nel vostro PC.


  2. Elimina la cartella "ifile" -> "yourjoomla15/libraries/ifile"


  3. Scarica IFile 1.1.4 da questo link: [url=http://]http://www.isapp.it/en/download-ifile/ifile-version-1.1.4.html[/url]


  4. Scompatta il pacchetto "IFile_Full_Package-1.1.4.zip" ed estrai la cartella "ifile".


  5. Copia la cartella "ifile" in "yourjoomla15/librerie/"


  6. Incolla il file di configurazione di JiFile "IFileConfig.xml" (vedi punto 1.) nella cartella "yourjoomla15/libraries/ifile/config/"


  7. Configurare la xpdfrc:
    Apri il file: "yourjoomla15/libraries/ifile/adapter/helpers/xpdfrc/xpdfrc" e de-commenta (cancella il carattere "#" ) dalla riga 7
    # ------ Codifica UTF-8
textEncoding UTF-8
# ------ Codifica UTF-8

    Salva il file.
    Attenzione, il file non deve avere estensione.


  8. Entra nel pannello di amministrazione di Joomla e configura il campo "Encoding" di JiFile in UTF-8 (vedi immagine sopra).


  9. Controlla i permessi per Xpdf (pdftotext).
    Se avete già modificato i permessi per la Xpdf, quando avete installato JiFile, è necessario ri-cambiare il permesso in questo momento.

Ora è possibile l'indicizzazione PDF in codifica UTF-8.
Attenzione, se il vostro PDF non è in UTF-8 encodind l'indicizzazione non funziona.
